“I tested my genotype as AA multiple times in Nigeria, only to discover I’m actually AS in the UK” – Lady cries out
A lady has sparked reactions online after claiming that several genotype tests she took in Nigeria showed she was AA, only for a test conducted in England to reportedly reveal that she is AS
The young woman shared her experience online, prompting mixed reactions from social media users
In her post, the lady said she had undergone multiple genotype tests in Nigeria, all of which indicated she was AA.
However, after relocating to England, she claimed another test produced a different result.
“I tested my genotype as AA multiple times in Nigeria, only to discover that I’m actually AS in England,” she wrote.
Her post quickly attracted reactions, with many users questioning the conflicting test results.
@Lordonen1 reacted: “Notice how she trusted the AS result from
England more? If she was AS in Nigeria, and England told her she was AA, she would have still believed England.
Colonialism is consciousness!!!”

@MediaHeadline stated: “Either one is wrong… I can say which but I definitely know one is wrong.”
@Sir Vizzy commented: “This is actually terrifying…. Imagine marrying someone thinking you’re both AA only for medical negligence to pass down sickle cell to your kids… Nigerian labs need serious regulation.”
@yinksey_brown wrote: “You repeatedly tested as AA in Nigeria, yet after a single AS result in England, you immediately assumed the UK test was correct. Discounting all your previous results so quickly doesn’t make sense.”
@RBintei said: “Maybe you should also try checking it multiple time in England, let’s know where the mistake is coming”
@supreme wrote: “How do you know they are not actually the ones that got it wrong”
@Rhorbi stated: “Alas, you’d be treated based on what the machine of your present country of residence states, as for me, I believe I am AA, cos they asked if I was a sickle cell carrier, never been and never will..”
