Jail break in owerri prison

• Catastrophe in Imo state as unknown gunmen attacked the Imo state prison and freed the inmates in the early hours of today.

Insecurity  is one of the major problem in  Nigeria, and this insecurity continues to hamper the growth of the economy. Nigeria has had it worse in recent times as problem upon problem surface in the country causing lots of pains and economy backward to the citizens and Nigeria respectively.

The tale of insecurity is that which is ongoing in Imo state, There has been a jailbreak at Nigerian Correction Service, owerri Custodial Centre this morning.

As at 1am till 3am this morning within the areas of ikenegbu, owerri, unknown gunmen attacked the prison and freed lots of inmates.

As known, Imo is a state which is known for the tenacity and its quite sure that many of those inmates in the prison would be a very hardened criminal.

This breakage of inmates from prison in recent times started with the EndSARS issues where hoodlums hijacked protest and caused pandemonium in the country, burning police stations and releasing criminals.

Orlando Ikeokwu, the police spokesperson in the state, when contacted confirmed the attack and also assured the people that the security agencies were on the matter.
