Why I Dumped Ihedioha, PDP For APC – uche Ogbuagu reveals.

The Imo born comedian turn politician, a member representing Ikeduru in Imo State house of Assembly and a furious critics of Rochas Okorocha, Uche Ogbuagu surprised Imolites when he decamped to the All progressive Congress, the same party he took much time to criticize and tagged evil.

After much condemnation from Imolites, he has come out to give some of the reasons he decamped to APC abandoning PDP and equally threatens to expose atricities committed under 8 months of Emeka Ihedioha’s reign.

These are his reasons.

…..Nothing that is happening in Ikeduru PDP that I’m aware.

…..During August meeting of 2019, they made my wife a stranger without involving her.

…..If i call the Governor to complain, he will tell me to wait.

…..I discovered that they have completed projects in Ikeduru on papers, fully completed, but in reality jobs have not gone up to 30 percent.

…..If i call the T.C chairman of Ikeduru to know how much that was coming in, he will tell me that they said i should not tell you.

…..A day before the supreme court judgement, i got information that the Governor has ordered Imo speaker in his Asokoro residence to suspend me and the member representing Abor Mbaise and Ahiazu in the house, because it was rumoured that we complained on how the government bought refurbished cars with outrageous amounts.

…..Were you slapped by the Deputy Governor? Leave that for another day because my wife begged me to leave anything concerning Emeka Ihedioha to God, because if i open up on what i passed through, people will go crazy.

…..I discovered that entraco wasn’t doing their job very well, as refuse took over Owerri without prompt action from the government, I called different people in the government to complain, all of them told me if am incharge of dirty evacuation. When i went to radio to advise the government, i was summoned, queried and humiliated for advising the government i fought hard and contributed my quota to enthrone to power.

…..On Deputy Speakership position, during the midnight meeting to decide who will become the deputy speaker ( in the house of an Ikeduru man… referring to former minister Chuka Odom), there was an agreement to zone it to Mbaike Federal Constituency since Mbaise has Governor and Owerri federal Constituency has Senator. In Mbaike Federal constituency, Mbaitolu has the federal house of reps member (ranking) and Ikeduru was in the vantage position to produce the deputy speaker, all the leaders said noooo! I asked for them to do voting, we were all sent out from the venue and Hon. Nwawuba went in and rigged the election with Chuka Odom. I cried for the injustice and all Odom could do was to tap me on the shoulder.

…..As a chairman house committee on budget and appropriations, i didn’t contribute any quota on the budget, i was completely shut out and sidelined on the order of the government.

On PDP going to court to retrieve your position having been elected through the party…….He said he’s waiting for their letter as it will enable him to finally open up on what he suffered in the party. He said he was tactically avoiding opening up on so many things that took place in that government because of his wife’s advise.

Gov Ihedioha Signs Imo State 2020 Budget

The Executive Governor of imo state, Gov Ihedioha Signs a costly N197.6 Billion 2020 Budget.

Gov Emeka Ihedioha CON, has signed the N197.6 Billion 2020 Appropriation Bill into Law.

According to sun News This is as the governor also performed the signing of five more bills into law.

The short ceremony was held at the Expanded Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Owerri, on Friday.

In his brief remarks shortly after signing the bills, the governor said the 2020 appropriation bill was professionally and painstakingly prepared.

“The 2020 appropriation bill is the flagship of the bills I have signed into Law today. This appropriation bill was professionally and painstakingly prepared.

Having signed up to the Open Government Partnership, we had a few pre-requisites to follow.

For instance, the process was participatory and so involved constituents and civil society, even before we presented it to the Assembly. It was also transparent, as we have made the documents available to the public from the onset”.

While expressing delight that the Appropriation Bill was signed before the start of the traditional budget year in January 2020, he noted that it is no mean feat, considering that the 2019 Appropriation Bill was signed into Law at the end of May of that 2019, hours before he was sworn into office as governor.

“By this, the fiscal year may now commence as envisaged on the 1st of January, 2020”, he stated.

“I am not oblivious of the fact that this is in the middle of our Christmas festivities and so a social sacrifice for some. But suffice it to say that this is the spirit of the new Imo.

“As a parliamentarian, I see today as the faithful culmination of any legislative process. Accent is an action that seals the success of the process and procedure determined by the constitution”

The governor was full of commendation for the 9th Assembly for what he described as “diligent and passionate attention to the legislative needs of the people”.

“The 9th Assembly, under the able leadership of Rt. Hon. Chiji Collins has lived up to expectation. They have worked with us to give prompt, diligent and passionate attention to the legislative needs of the people of Imo. They have constituted themselves into veritable partners in the Rebuild Imo project.

“As an administration, we have had a total of eighteen (18) bills passed into Law under our watch (including few of them by the 8th Assembly). 18 bills in a 6-month period is no mean feat. Of these 18 bills, 12 have previously been signed into Law, including the 2019 Supplementary (Re-ordered) Appropriation Bill which was recently signed.

“As we bring this event to a close, I further appreciate the State legislature for its dutiful approach to its constitutional responsibilities; I look forward to more signing ceremonies in this legislatively pro-active era”.

Present at the event were: Imo Deputy Governor, Gerald Irona; Speaker Imo State House of Assembly, Chiji Collins; Majority Leader Imo State House of Assembly, Uche Nwaneri; SSG, Uche Onyeagucha; Principal Secretary, Gov. TUC Nwokonkw; Clerk of the Assembly, Chinelo Emeghara; Attorney General, Ndukwe Nnawuchi SAN; Special Adviser to the governor on Legislative Matters, Nnaemeka Maduagwu; Commissioner for Public Utilities, Chuma Nnaji and Commissioners for Finance; Budget and Economic Planning, Uche Uwaleke and Reginald Ihebuzo and members of the Expanded Executive Council.

The World Bank assisted Rural Access and Mobility Project (RAMP) include 380.7 Kilometers of rural access roads across the 27 Local Government Areas of our state.

This project will enhance Agriculture and Socioeconomic development in our state and help reduce rural urban migration.

In the coming days, massive construction will commence on our urban and major link roads. We have painstakingly gone through the path of due process — from the design to the procurement.

We will bring life to the rebirth of Imo Rural Road Maintenance Agency (IRROMA). This will ensure that no part of our rural areas will remain inaccessible due to bad roads under my watch.

In order to ensure that our roads remain in satisfactory conditions even years after construction, we will also revive the State Road Maintenance Agency in the bid to institute the character of transparency, monitoring and evaluation.

We can assure you that we will intensify our engagement with other multi-lateral institutions in order to leverage on their pedigree and move our state forward.

Imo State Governor felicitates with Muslims

Imo State Governor felicitates with Muslims .

Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha, has felicitated with all Muslim faithful in the state and indeed across Nigeria, on the occasion of the celebration of the Eid El Kabir festival this year.

In a statement signed by Steve Osuji, Special Adviser, Media to the Governor, Ihedioha said that this festival, otherwise called the Festival of Sacrifice, is a celebration of the obedience of Prophet Ibrahim who was going to sacrifice his son, Ishmael to God in obedience.

But God intervened and availed him a ram for the sacrifice instead of his son.

The significance of this festival, as he said further, is in the fact that Prophet Ibrahim showed unwavering obedience in following the instructions of God to sacrifice that which was dearest to him, his first son. Of course, it also shows the mercies of God who would not allow us to get into harm while we obey Him.

He added: “I therefore call upon our Muslim brothers to emulate the obedience and the sacrificial spirit of the Prophet Ibrahim.

Perhaps, at no time in the recent history of our nation is this spirit of sacrifice and obedience needed than now. We need to obey the laws of the land which make accommodation for all, irrespective of creed or ethnicity.

And we need to make sacrifices to accommodate one another. When we do these, the current winds of discontent and threats of disintegration shall blow away and peace and tranquility will reign.

May the blessings of Sallah reign in your lives this season and always.”

Imo state Supreme Court takes decision on suit against Gov. Ihedioha’s emergence

Imo state Supreme Court takes decision on suit against Gov. Ihedioha’s emergence.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday struck out an appeal against the emergence of Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha.

The apex court dismissed the appeal filed by a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Imo State, Samuel Nnaemeke Anyanwu, against the emergence of Ihedioha as the party’s candidate in the 2019 governorship election in the state.

A unanimous judgement by a five-man panel of the court upheld the earlier concurrent judgments of the trial court and the Court of Appeal, Owerri, which ruled in favour of Ihedioha on the ground that Anyannwu did not prove his case.

The Imo state PDP chieftain had faulted Ihedioha’s victory at the party’s governorship primary.

However, Justice John Okoro, in the lead judgment, held that he could not prove his allegations of manipulation, thuggery among other vices, which he claimed marred the process.

The apex court dismissed the appeal for “lacking in merit” and awarded a N200,000 cost against the appellant.
