Another attack in Imo state

The tension in Imo State has taken another turn as news broke that a traditional ruler and his entire cabinet had been  kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

There was Pandemonium in the Umueze Nguru community in Imo State on Wednesday as gunmen kidnapped the traditional ruler of the town located in the Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of the state, Eze Iroegbu Charles

According to Reports, seven tribal leaders were kidnapped along side the traditional ruler, which caused serious tension among the local residents.

The traditional ruler and his tribal leaders where said to be returning from a traditional ceremony when they where attacked by the Gunmen.

He further said: “The attack happened around the Seven and Half junction, the gunmen simply blockaded the vehicle they were travelling in, pulled down the driver, and one of the abductors took the wheel and drove off with the monarch and his cabinet, while the rest of the gunmen followed closely behind in another vehicle.”
He added that the cabinet members that accompanied the monarch to the traditional wedding were seven.
