A young couple’s marriage has reportedly collapsed just three months after their wedding, following a deep disagreement over church attendance.
The union, which began with joy and celebration, quickly turned sour when both partners failed to agree on where to worship after marriage.
Dispute Over Church Membership
According to sources close to the family, the husband had asked his wife to join his church after their wedding. He believed it was important for them to worship together as one family.

However, the wife refused. She was said to be deeply committed to her church, where she served as a Children’s Department Coordinator.
She reportedly explained that she had built a strong bond with the children in her department and could not simply walk away from them.
The husband suggested she could continue serving in the same department in his church. He reportedly told her she might even grow further in her role there. Despite the proposal, she declined.
Growing Tension at Home
The husband also raised concerns about the couple being under different doctrines. He feared that separate teachings could affect their unity in the long term.
His wife stood her ground and refused to reconsider her position. What began as a simple disagreement gradually developed into open conflict.
Sources said the wife stopped cooking for her husband. She also denied him intimacy as tensions escalated. Both parties reportedly took their grievances to their respective pastors.
Mediation Efforts Fail
Family members and church leaders later stepped in to mediate. Several meetings were held in an attempt to resolve the crisis.
Her pastor reportedly insisted that she remain in her church. Meanwhile, his pastor emphasised the importance of unity in marriage and encouraged her to join her husband’s congregation.
Despite repeated efforts, no compromise was reached. With neither side willing to shift ground, the situation remained unresolved.
Three months after their wedding, the marriage officially came to an end.
