Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel has provided the latest update on Hakim Ziyech and Andreas Christensen, ahead of his side’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa on Boxing Day.
Tuchel said Ziyech had a ‘kick’ which is very painful, while Christensen had an ‘injection’ ahead of the Aston Villa clash.
Ziyech and Christensen missed Chelsea’s previous Premier League 0-0 draw against Wolves last Sunday.
Providing an update on both players, Tuchel said at his pre-match press conference ahead of Aston Villa’s clash with Chelsea at Villa Park: “For Hakim, I don’t know, it’s very painful. He got a kick and it’s very painful, so not a lot of time until Aston Villa.
“Andreas got an injection and is also very painful in the lower back. So bad news that we’ve struggled with the same things for several days now and of course, we want to be competitive at the same time.
“Not easy, but we try to stay positive and arrive at Aston Villa with full commitment to the competitions.”
The kick-off time for Aston Villa vs Chelsea is 6.30 pm.
