After suffering a 3-0 defeat to Bodø/Glimt in the first leg, the Portuguese club mounted a remarkable comeback, winning 5-0 on home soil to advance 5-3 on aggregate — a result that few would have anticipated and one that serves as a reminder of the unpredictability that defines this competition. Atletico Madrid completed the quarter-final line-up with a 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, advancing on the back of their grit and defensive solidity under Diego Simeone.

With the semi-final places at stake, the margins for error are gone.
