Chukwueze scores as Ruben Amorim men stun Man United in pre-season clash

Samuel Chukwueze scored for AC Milan as the Italian giants came from behind to beat Manchester United 4-2 in their final pre-season fixture in Poland.

The Nigeria international played a key role in Milan’s comeback, scoring the equaliser before helping Ruben Amorim’s side take control of the second half.

Manchester United had taken an early lead through Harry Maguire, who headed in Bruno Fernandes’ corner in the second minute.

Samuel Chukwueze inspires Milan comeback

Milan gradually grew into the match and Chukwueze was at the centre of their response.

After United goalkeeper Senne Lammens denied Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Goncalo Ramos created the opening for Chukwueze, who finished to bring Milan level.

United missed an opportunity to regain the lead before half-time when Fernandes saw his penalty saved.

Patrick Dorgu restored United’s advantage after taking advantage of a poor back-pass from Filippo Terracciano.

Milan refused to drop their intensity, however, with Alphadjo Cisse equalising before Ramos headed the visitors in front.

Loftus-Cheek then added a fourth as United’s defence struggled to contain Milan’s attacking pressure.

Chukwueze’s contribution was particularly significant as Milan repeatedly found space on the right side, causing problems for United throughout the second half.

Marcus Rashford returns for Man Utd

The defeat was United’s final test before the Premier League season begins, leaving Michael Carrick with defensive issues to address.

Several players also made their returns to the team, including Lisandro Martinez and Kobbie Mainoo following their extended international commitments.

Marcus Rashford was another notable substitute, making his first appearance for Manchester United in 20 months.

The England forward has returned to his boyhood club after spending time away on loan and is now attempting to revive his career at Old Trafford.
