Every year, over two million Nigerian students compete for limited admission spaces into universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. For 2026 candidates, the competition has officially started because JAMB 2026 e-PIN sales have begun.
If you do not understand how to get your JAMB e-PIN correctly, you may lose your chance of admission even before the exam begins. Many candidates fail, not because they are not intelligent, but because they make costly registration mistakes.
Today, JAMB begins the sales of registration E-PINS for the 2026 UTME. You are required to present your already generated PROFILE CODE from your phone, and make payment for either UTME ONLY without mock (N7,200) or UTME with mock (N8,700). After purchase, the E-PIN will be sent directly to your registered phone number as SMS. You can buy the E-PIN at any NIPOST, Banks, MMOs, MFBs and other participating financial institutions. The sales of E-PINS stops on 26th February, 2026.
After purchasing your e-PIN, candidates can check the List of approved JAMB CBT registration centres, for 2026 UTME/DE, to see the registration centres that are closest to them and prepare for registration, which begins on Monday, 26th January, 2026. The payment for the e-PIN covers UTME/DE JAMB application fee (N3,500), the reading text (N1,000), the CBT centre registration service charge (N700), the CBT centre UTME server charge (N1,500), bank charges (N500) and the OPTIONAL CBT mock-UTME centre charge (N1,500).
This complete guide explains everything you must know about how to get JAMB 2026 e-PIN for registration, including official methods, common errors, payment platforms, and expert tips to avoid problems.
What Is JAMB e-PIN and Why Is It the Most Important Step in Registration?
JAMB e-PIN (Electronic Personal Identification Number) is a special code issued to candidates after payment of the JAMB registration fee. It is the digital key that unlocks the JAMB registration portal.
Without this code:
-
You cannot register at any CBT centre
-
You cannot choose institution or course
-
You cannot print registration slip
-
You cannot sit for the UTME exam
This is why JAMB e-PIN is more important than even your passport photograph.
Thousands of candidates generate profile codes every year but never complete registration because they fail to get their e-PIN on time.
