A police officer was reportedly shot and killed by bandits around the Bukkuyum–Bagega axis of Zamfara State today. The attackers allegedly stole his tear gas gun after the encounter.

He was outnumbered by more than 10 heavily armed bandits and reportedly stood no chance against them. The bandits later shared the incident online.
