Manchester Utd close to appointing new coach.
Premier League giants, Manchester United are close to appointing a new coach.
Sky Sports News reports that Man United are close to finalizing a deal for Ewan Sharp, a former Toronto FC coach, to become an assistant coach and analyst at Old Trafford.
Sharp will join Man United from Lokomotiv Moscow.
Man United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, first encountered Sharp at New York Red Bulls, where he worked as a performance analyst.
Sharp’s move will bolster Man United’s backroom team following the departures of Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna a few weeks ago.
He has also assisted the scouting department in identification and recruitment.
Sharp was a member of Chris Armas’ coaching staff at MLS side Toronto FC for a six-month spell.
Recall that Rangnick appointed Armas as his assistant earlier this month, following the departure of Carrick after his three-match spell in caretaker charge.
