JAMB 2020 : JAMB TO DEPLOY DRONES FOR UTME EXAMS.
The joint admissions and matriculation Board (jamb) Registrar, Prefessor Ishaq oloyede has reacted to updating questions asked by parents and students regarding jamb 2020 and the centers to be used.
Mr oloyede hinted on Thursday, 19th of November that the board would approach high authorities to release drone during the 2020 UTME examination according to Pulse news
Speaking during the meeting held in Congo conference hotel, Ahmadu Bello University at Zaria, Kaduna state he said that fraudsters were tampering with CCTV cameras at its center for the sole purpose of Examination malpractice.
The jamb registerer said that this act was been perpetrated with people conniving with the boards technical official during the conduct of jamb examinations
On the second day of the meeting with Computer based Test center operators, Technical advisors, Service providers including isps like MTN, AIRTEL, GALAXY BACKBONES and other personnels, the jamb boss brought forth the idea of contacting government agencies to deploy drones to CBT centers.
He said the Jamb board had just 613 Computer based Test centers and that drones as well as working CCTV cameras would be deployed to checkmate the planing of the Examination regarding JAMB 2020.
He also warned tutorial owners and operators to stay clear of the CBT centers, seeing that they were not qualified to conduct jamb 2020 examinations.
In conclusion, Mr oloyede warned that anyone caught aiding malpractice in any center would be made to face the wrath of the law. No third party is allowed into the hall, he warned.
For candidates, he stated clearly that only verified candidates who had done their biometrics would be allowed to site for 2020 jamb.
All centers has to and must be powered by switches, no hubs are allowed, for payment or registration the centers should work with any of the partnership banks, he said
