The presidential candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has been declared the winner of last Saturday, February 25, presidential election in Kano state.
The final results by the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Prof. Usman Sulaimon, show Kwankwaso polled a total of 997, 279 votes to edge out his main rival, Bola Tinubu of the APC, who secured 517, 341 votes. Coming third in the polls is PDP’s Atiku Abubakar who polled 131, 716 votes while Labour Party’s Peter Obi secured 28, 513 votes.
