An old video of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as ‘Ogogo’, recounting a serious health battle he endured for several years has resurfaced following his death on Sunday.
In the viral video, the deceased actor spoke about the severe symptoms he experienced, including chest pain, vomiting blood and ulcers, which at some point left him fearing for his life.
Hassan, who revealed that he neither smoked nor drank alcohol, said he once experienced a sharp chest pain while on his way to a movie location. According to him, the pain radiated to his back and left him extremely uncomfortable.
“I don’t smoke cigarettes or weed. Those who know me well know that if I take a bottle of beer, I will finish it down with two bottles of Schweppes. I’ll keep that bottle till daybreak.
“Once, I was going to a location and I felt a sharp chest pain radiating to my back. Within five minutes, I didn’t feel comfortable at all.
“I spent almost six years battling this illness. I had ulcers and would vomit blood for seven months. I prayed while sitting,” he said in the video.
“I don’t smoke or drink. I felt a sharp pain in my chest and the doctor told me my use of Alabukun and lime to treat malaria had made it chronic. I vomited blood for 7 days. I even threw away my golden tooth from Mecca after realizing everything is vanity.” — Taiwo Hassan Ogogo…
