Aliko Dangote & Other Private Sectors Establish Coalition against COVID-19 (CACOVID)

Aliko Dangote and HerbertOWigwe (Group Managing Director/CEO myaccessbank) and other private sector leaders in Nigeria have established The Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID) to support the Nigerian Government’s efforts in combating the unfolding Covid-19 pandemic.

CACOVID (cacovidng) is working in partnership with the Federal Government, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDCgov) and the World Health Organisation (WHO).

The Funding Committee for CACOVID includes business leaders such as HerbertOWigwe, Godwin Emefiele, Aliko Dangote, amongst others. While the Technical Committee include Omobolanle Victor-Laniyan (myaccessbank) ProfAkinAbayomi, Dhamari Naidoo, amongst others.

The cacovidng task force is tasked with pulling resources across industries to provide technical and operational support while providing funding and building advocacy through aggressive awareness drives.

Accessbank has also taken it upon themselves to ensure that their customers, staff and communities are shielded from coronavirus by educating the general public via their social media channels.
