Again, Gunmen attack another Police station in Imo State.

Unknown gunmen on Thursday morning have again attacked Mbieri Division Police Headquarters in Mbaitolo Local Government Area of Imo State.­

Imo State continues to be rampage with Gunmen storming Police station to do heinous things, and releasing prisoners. Imo State is really in a mess at the moment, and if this continues the citizens wouldn’t be secured in their homes.

In recent news, in the early hours of Thursday, Gunmen has again attacked another police station at Mberi Divisional Police Headquarters in Imo State in the Mbiatoli Local Area of the state. According to the reports, the Gunmen struck around 1am, and immediately hit the police station. This incidence took place just 24 hours after Divisional Police Head Quarters in Ehime Mbano LGA was set ablaze & 48 hours State Police HQ attack.

However unlike other attack on the Police Station, they never burnt the police station due to the resistance by the policemen on duty but they attacked the station with very powerful weapons that made them overpower the police despite their efforts to subdue the Gunmen.

According to reports, the gunmen took away phones belonging to suspects and the police operatives at the Division. The Gunmen also kidnapped a police officer and also injured two other cops but never burnt the Police Station this time around. This attack came after the appointment of the new IG of Police, Usman Alkali Baba after the sack of Muhammad Adamu due to insecurity.

This is the third attack on police station by Gunmen in Imo State which is really alarming.
