Young John Reveals That His Parents Were Pastors.
Afrobeats singer Young John recently shared in a chat with Saige Jones that he grew up in a Christian household and that his parents were pastors.
Young John said that, when he was growing up, he believed so much in love because of what he used to see between his parents, but he was later exposed to a different reality in the outside world.
He aalso revealed that he began his music career in church as a drummer and also spoke about losing his mum to aancer and how he is dealing with the pain.

He said:
“I grew up in a religious home. Both my mum and dad were pastors. My mum had a school. She was a psychologist. So I grew up in a religious background. I started my music career as a church drummer and keyboardist,” he said.
“When I was really young, I believed in love so much because of what I used to see between my parents, before I grew up and saw the world is a lot different than that.
“My family was a very closed one until everybody got busy with life. And life happened. My mum is late now. We lost her to cancer. It happened a while ago. I’m over it now.”
