It was recorded that Tyson Fury has already made his WWE debut after facing Braun Strauman back in October last year
Tyson Fury has accepted a challenge from Britain’s first WWE champion Drew McIntyre after the Scottish Terminator called out the heavyweight boxer at Wrestlemania.
McIntyre pulled off an upset on Sunday night when he defeated Brock Lesnar in a unique Wrestlemania event.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the Showcase of the Immortals took place over two nights with no fans in attendance.
But that still didn’t take away from some of the spectacular matches over the course of the weekend, including The Undertaker’s thrilling contest with AJ Styles on Saturday night.
Arguably, the biggest event, though, came last night when Britain’s own McIntyre took on five-time WWE champion Lesnar.
The 34-year-old amazingly fended off three F-5’s before landing four Claymore’s to create history and be crowned WWE champion.
Not long after his heroic win, McIntyre was on the airwaves naming two surprising people he wants as his next opponents.
“When it gets backs to normal, the next thing I want to do is fight Chris Sutton,” he said on talkSPORT.
“And Tyson Fury was talking trash, let him know I’ve won the belt and after I beat Sutton I’m coming for Fury.”
McIntyre, a big Rangers fan, has called out Sutton in the past due to his allegiance to Celtic.
The 47-year-old is yet to respond but Fury has wasted no time in putting his name in the hat for a match against the new WWE champion.
Fury posted on Instagram: “@dmcintyrewwe has call me out after his @wwe Wrestlemania 36 victory, first I say congratulations and what a fantastic job.
“Secondly I accept his challenge, anytime any place, anywhere.“
Fury swapped the boxing ring for wrestling’s famous squared circle last year when he made an appearance at Crown Jewel.
The Gypsy King had long talked about wanting to appear in WWE and he got his chance against Braun Strowman.
The former unified world heavyweight champion pulled off his signature move, the ‘Dosser Drop’ to KO his opponent for a count-out victory.
Fury will have his focus solely on defending the WBC heavyweight belt in the near future after defeating Deontay Wilder earlier this year.
The American exercised his right for a third fight to win back his title with the bout originally scheduled for July but due to the coronavirus outbreak that has now been pushed back to some time in October.
