Manchester united star Paul Pogba was back in a Juventus shirt but for good reason as he was seen alongside Victor Lindelof showing support for Blaise Matuidi and Albin Ekdal of Juventus and Samodoria respectively who tested positive to COVID-19 earlier this week
The midfielder’s future has been uncertain for a while now with Juventus one of the clubs reportedly keen on bringing him back to Italy and Pogba’s latest post will only add fuel to the fire albeit with good cause. Pogba spent four seasons with the Serie A champions between 2012 and 2016 before returning to United for what was a world-record fee at the time.
He posted a video on his Instagram account of him wearing a Juventus shirt with Matuidi’s name and number on the back and he has come out to clarify that he and Lindelof who sported a Sampdoria shirt with Ekdal on the back were only showing support to their ex-teammates,
Matuidi replied to Pogba’s post by saying: “Thank you my brother this touched me love u.
“And glad to see you touch the ball.”
Pogba hasn’t played for Manchester United since December as he is still out with a long term injury having undergone surgery in January. He was due to return to training on Tuesday but with the British government calling a hault to all sporting activities, United hence canceled their session in this regard
