Photos From The Mass Burial Of Madonna University Students Burnt To Death In Road Accident

Eight Madonna University students from Elele, Rivers State, who perished in a car accident while traveling from Port Harcourt to Taraba State, have had their remains laid to rest.

Due to the upcoming general election, the incident occurred on February 18 at the TTC/Special Science School intersection in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, while the children were on their way home from school.

According to reports, seven additional pupils were sent to the Alex Ekwueme Teaching Hospital in Ebonyi State after apparently escaping the incident with various degrees of injuries.

The mass burial took place in the Magami Christian Cemetery in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State, on Tuesday morning, February 21.

One of the victims was recognized by Facebook user Tony Matinjah as being his brother, Amamzala Donald Matinjah, a 300-level optometry student.
