Pastor William Kumuyi, General Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministries, has reacted to the ban of Twitter by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The stand off between the federal government of Nigeria and the microblogging platform seems to be at its peak as the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), ordered all broadcasting stations in Nigeria to suspend the use of Twitter.
This was contained in a statement issued by its Director-General, Armstrong Idachaba, on Monday morning.
Mr Idachaba said television and radio stations are advised to de-install Twitter handles and “desist from using Twitter as a source (UGC) of information gathering for News and programmes presentation, especially Phone-in.”
Reacting to the stand off, Pastor Kumuyi took to his social media handle to state that content won’t stop being posted on the handle as it targets a global audience.
He wrote:-
In view of the Twitter ban in Nigeria, please note that the content shared on this handle is targeted at a global audience in more than 5 continents and over 100 Nations and we share the content from any of these locations.
