The former Nigeria captain, Mikel and 2013 African cup of nations winner has left the Turkish outfit by mutual consent,as confirmed by the club on Tuesday
Mikel joined Trabzonspor as a free agent last summer on a 2 year deal after a brief spell with middles rough in England’s championship
The 32 year old played a key role in holding midfield to help the club to the summit of the Turkish Lig with 19 league appearances. No reason has been given for the termination of his contract but the club revealed the Mikel gave up his remaining wages
