- Catastrophe in Imo state as unknown gunmen attacked the Imo state prison and freed the inmates in the early hours of today.

As at 1am till 3am this morning within the areas of ikenegbu, owerri, unknown gunmen attacked the prison and freed lots of inmates.

Orlando Ikeokwu, the police spokesperson in the state, when contacted confirmed the attack and also assured the people that the security agencies were on the matter.
