LOS ANGELES — March 8, 2026
A woman was arrested Sunday afternoon after firing multiple rounds from an AR-15-style rifle at the Beverly Crest home of Grammy-winning artist and entrepreneur Rihanna, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The singer was confirmed to be inside the residence at the time of the shooting.
The incident occurred around 1:21 p.m. at a property on the 9500 block of Heather Road.
The LAPD reported that the suspect fired between seven and nine rounds, with four of them striking the house. Multiple rounds also hit a vehicle parked out front, and at least two homes on the block sustained bullet holes. None of the shots penetrated the interior of the home.
The suspect, a woman in her 30s, parked her car outside the home and fired several gunshots before speeding away. Following the 911 call, police in a helicopter located the suspect’s white Tesla, which had fled south on Coldwater Canyon Drive. Her vehicle was found approximately eight miles from the singer’s home, at the Sherman Oaks Galleria shopping center, where the woman was taken into custody — roughly 30 minutes after the initial call was placed.
When police searched the vehicle, they recovered an assault rifle and seven shell casings. The suspect has not been publicly identified, and investigators are working to determine whether she knew Rihanna lived at the property. The motive remains unclear and the investigation is ongoing.
The LAPD confirmed there were people inside the house at the time of the shooting, though no injuries were reported. Rihanna shares the Beverly Hills home with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their three children — RZA, Riot, and Rocki, born just over five months ago. It is unclear whether Rocky and the children were present during the incident.
Aerial footage captured by local news crews showed multiple gunshot holes in the gate outside the home, with the street leading up to the property cordoned off with police tape as LAPD detectives continued their on-scene investigation.
Representatives for Rihanna had not issued a public statement as of the time of this report. The LAPD continues to investigate, and further updates are expected as more details become available.
