Popular Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Yul Edochie, has responded to recent allegations circulating on social media, insisting that years of criticism, false accusations, and coordinated attacks have failed to diminish his influence or public appeal.

In a strongly worded Father’s Day message shared on his social media platforms, the actor dismissed claims that he was responsible for the breakup of another man’s marriage, describing the allegation as the latest in a series of attempts by detractors to tarnish his image.

According to Edochie, those behind the accusations have spent the last four years spreading various falsehoods about him without success. He argued that the current controversy is being driven by individuals seeking to damage his reputation and undermine his achievements.

The actor specifically referenced claims that he allegedly took another man’s wife, maintaining that the narrative does not reflect the true circumstances surrounding the matter. He alleged that the individual involved had separated from his former spouse years ago, remarried, and moved on with his life before resurfacing after seeing his ex-wife’s improved circumstances.

Despite the controversies surrounding his personal life, Edochie expressed confidence in his ability to withstand criticism, attributing his continued success and popularity to divine favour and grace.

“My light is still shining bright. They can’t understand why I’m still standing strong and why my fans still love me. It’s called grace,” he stated.
