Davido Confirms Presence at #EndSars Memorial Car procession, Reveals Date & Location
Posting via his Instagram, Singer davido confirms his presence at the #Endsars Memorial car processions.
The event was exactly one year on the 10th of October 2021 and Nigerian youths still cry out for police brutality and the lives of those lost at Lekki toll gate which the government couldn’t give a proper explanation to what happened.
The decision to have a car procession this year was borne from the government’s restriction of a gathering for the memorial and further discussions about how to solve police brutality in the country.
According to the Lagos State government, they are trying to prevent a hijack of the event.
Also, popular Nigerian singer Falz and Popular Nigerian comedian Mr Macaroni have both championed the cause to ensure the memorial of the Lekki toll gate victims despite government restrictions. This year’s memorial is going to be done in a car procession.
It’s been a year the Lekki toll gate massacre happened where several Nigerian youths came out in a peaceful protest to the end of getting the government’s attention over police brutality in the country.
