Funkmaster Flex went off on Cardi B when he was asked about his predisposition to the rapper’s music.

The Hot 97 DJ didn’t hold back when asked for his thoughts on the Grammy-winning rapper’s lyrical abilities. Speaking with “Cigar Talk,” Flex offered a brash take on Cardi B’s bars.
Funkmaster Flex, who loves IG, popped up in the comments and added his 2 cents. He accused the rapper of paying DJs to get her music played.
“I do think Cardi B’s a terrible rapper. I just do, man,” he said before trying to soften the blow with compliments.
“She’s an amazing entertainer. I love her on social media. I love the way she talks about a subject. I like her whole swag. I like everything,” he said before adding, “She’s a terrible rapper, man.”
When the interviewer asked why, Flex addressed claims that Cardi B doesn’t write her own raps. “If somebody wrote it, those aren’t good bars. So somebody sold you bad bars,” he laughed.
Flex has been known to criticize hip-hop’s biggest stars. In 2016, the outspoken DJ questioned Drake’s pen game following his beef with Meek Mill. Earlier this year, he made headlines after he claimed JAY-Z stays off social media because he can’t take the criticism.
“You know he wants me to tell you why he can’t be on social media,” he told Million Dollars Worth of Game’s” Gillie Da King and Wallo. “‘Cause he’s the most sensitive motherf**ker on the planet and he can’t take n***as in his comments telling him the truth.”
In other news, Cardi B is still getting wins. It just has been announced that Cardi B will appear at the MTV Video Music Awards.
