Popular Nigerian Musician, Davido took a trip down memory lane, recalling his early days as a struggling upcoming artist and then as an artist who was underrated 10 years ago.
David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is a Nigerian-American singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is one of the most influential artists in Africa. Davido rose to fame after releasing “Dami Duro”, the second single from his debut studio album Omo Baba Olowo.
In a post via his Instagram story, he posted a tweet from 10 years where he bitterly lamented about lack of recognition by the ‘big dogs’ in the industry and music lovers who never valued or rated him in the industry.
According to Davido, he shared the post to encourage artists and people who felt the same way he did 10 years ago. He stated that they should never give up and keep fighting for their aspirations. In his words, he wrote;
“10 years ago…never stop……Never”
