The Chief Executive Officer of Dee Utensils, Her Royal Majesty, Amb. Lois Andrew Ihwo, has attributed the remarkable growth of the household and kitchenware brand over the past seven years to God’s grace, unwavering faith, resilience, and consistency.

Reflecting on the company’s journey as it celebrated its seventh anniversary in Abuja on Monday, Ihwo in a social media post described the success of Dee Utensils as a testimony of divine faithfulness from humble beginnings to becoming one of Nigeria’s leading premium kitchenware brands.

According to her, the business started with very little capital and a small shop, where she single-handedly handled every aspect of the operations.

“I was the sales girl, the cashier, the inventory officer, the accountant, the cleaner, the store manager, the marketer, the dispatcher, and everything in between,” she recalled, adding that she would sometimes purchase goods worth just ₦10,000 to stock the store.

She noted that despite numerous challenges, including the loss of about seven social media pages over the years, she remained focused on the vision, believing that temporary setbacks could not derail a purpose ordained by God.

She said Dee Utensils has today grown into an organization with 138 employees, serving customers across Nigeria and beyond while creating employment opportunities and positively impacting countless lives.

Ihwo explained that while social media often showcases the glamorous side of business, it rarely reflects the sacrifices, sleepless nights, financial risks, disappointments, prayers, and difficult decisions that define the entrepreneurial journey.

“People see the beautiful showrooms, luxury products and celebrations, but they don’t see the silent battles behind the success. God knows the complete story,” she stated.

She also revealed that many of the company’s biggest clients deliberately stay away from public attention, emphasizing that Dee Utensils values the privacy of its customers.

“Not every handshake becomes a picture. Not every sale becomes a post. Our greatest joy has always been delivering value, building trust and exceeding expectations,” she said.

Sharing one of the memorable milestones in the company’s history, Ihwo recounted how the wife of a president from another country travelled to Nigeria to patronize Dee Utensils, describing the experience as a humbling reminder of God’s extraordinary favour.

She further highlighted the company’s business expansion, recalling a period when Dee Utensils imported eight containers of premium products at the same time, describing the scale of investment in manufacturing, shipping, logistics and warehousing as evidence of God’s sustaining grace.

Beyond commercial success, the entrepreneur said the company’s greatest achievement lies in its social impact. She disclosed that Dee Utensils now employs staff members earning ₦500,000 and above, supports the education of children, provides monthly assistance to widows, and has sponsored many students who have since graduated and established successful careers.

According to her, the company has also stood by members of staff during difficult moments while celebrating their personal and professional milestones.

Expressing gratitude, Ihwo acknowledged the support of her spiritual mentors, Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche and Dr. Mrs. Becky Paul Enenche, for their prayers, guidance and encouragement over the years. She also appreciated her staff, management team, customers, distributors, family, friends and supporters for believing in the vision and contributing to the growth of the brand.

Encouraging aspiring entrepreneurs, she urged them not to despise humble beginnings but to remain faithful, consistent and committed to their dreams.

“As we celebrate seven years of Dee Utensils in Abuja, I do not celebrate buildings, containers or achievements. I celebrate God’s faithfulness,” she said.

She also invited customers and supporters to share their experiences with Dee Utensils’ products as part of the anniversary celebration, noting that their testimonies would inspire others and reinforce the company’s commitment to quality, trust and excellent service.
