Nollywood has no pension plan – Kunle Remi

Nollywood actually has no pension plan, no gratuity, no real structure. I have done about eighty to ninety films, and for each one, I was paid once. If that film is sold again, streamed again, or renewed on a platform, I get nothing. That money goes to other people.

Imagine if every time a movie I acted in was renewed on a streaming platform, I got even a small amount, maybe fifty or hundred thousand. On eighty films, that would build a life for me. I would not need to chase everything at once; I could grow with dignity and still retire with peace.
