He Checked Into The Hotel With An Unknown Woman At Around 1 AM; A Few Hours Later, He Died – Police

According to Punch, the Ogun State Police Command has begun searching for an unidentified woman linked to the suspicious death of Inspector Haruna Mohammed, an officer attached to the Ishashi Division of the Lagos State Police Command.

Mohammed was discovered lifeless in a hotel room at Anthony Uzum Estate, Oyeyemi Akute, Ogun State. Authorities are treating the circumstances surrounding his death as unusual.

Ogun State Police Command spokesperson Omolola Odutola revealed that a woman had checked into the hotel with Mohammed but left shortly after his passing

Reports indicate that the officer and the unidentified woman entered the hotel together around 1:00 am on Saturday. Just a few hours later, his body was found inside the room.

At approximately 8:52 am, the hotel manager noticed that the room’s door was ajar. Upon inspection, he discovered Mohammed’s body inside.

The woman, who is now being sought by the police, was last seen around 6:00 am when she approached the reception to request a bottle of tap water before vanishing.

Mohammeď’s identity, as they only found a police uniform inside his bag. He had no identification card on him or among his belongings.

Further investigations later confirmed that the deceased was a serving inspector with the lshashi Division under the Lagos Police Command.

Speaking on the case, the police spokesperson stated, “At first, we couldn’t verify if he was an officer because there was only a uniform in his bag, and no ID was found. However, subsequent findings confirmed he was an inspector at Ishashi Division in Lagos. His body has been identified, and the division’s DPO has been informed. We are now actively tracking the missing woman.”

This case bears similarities to an earlier incident in late January, when Inspector Lawal Ibrahim, attached to the Kwali Division in the FCT, was found dead at Palasa Guest Inn in Gwagwalada after allegedly engaging in an intimate encounter with a woman he met online.
