The World Bank assisted Rural Access and Mobility Project (RAMP) include 380.7 Kilometers of rural access roads across the 27 Local Government Areas of our state.

This project will enhance Agriculture and Socioeconomic development in our state and help reduce rural urban migration.

In the coming days, massive construction will commence on our urban and major link roads. We have painstakingly gone through the path of due process — from the design to the procurement.

We will bring life to the rebirth of Imo Rural Road Maintenance Agency (IRROMA). This will ensure that no part of our rural areas will remain inaccessible due to bad roads under my watch.

In order to ensure that our roads remain in satisfactory conditions even years after construction, we will also revive the State Road Maintenance Agency in the bid to institute the character of transparency, monitoring and evaluation.

We can assure you that we will intensify our engagement with other multi-lateral institutions in order to leverage on their pedigree and move our state forward.
