Following the 2-1 loss to Wolves on Saturday, February 11, Southampton has fired manager Nathan Jones.
Jones was fired on Sunday, February 12, as the team remained stuck at the bottom of the standings.
Chris Cohen and Alan Sheeha, the first team coaches for the Premier League team, were also fired.
This was announced by the club in a statement on their website.
The statement read,
Southampton Football Club can confirm it has parted company with Men’s First Team Manager Nathan Jones.
First Team Coaches Chris Cohen and Alan Sheehan have also left the club.
First team lead Coach Ruben Sellas will take charge of training and prepare the team ahead of next weekend?s game against Chelsea.
