Rio Ferdinand names his Premier League Player of the Season
Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, has named Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah as his Premier League Player of the Season.
The Egyptian international has netted 16 goals and provided 11 assists to help Liverpool remain at the top of the Premier League table.
Speaking on his Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast, the former England centre-back believes Salah is ahead of the likes of Chelsea’s Cole Palmer and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka in terms of performances this term.
“Id go Salah. I think Palmer and Saka are close seconds,” Ferdinand said.
Ferdinand’s guests on the podcast, Owen Hargreaves, agreed with him that Salah was the best player in the Premier League so far.
“I’m going to say and I’ll say Cole Palmer a close second,” Hargreaves said.
