Super Eagles’ defensive midfielder Alhassan Yusuf has been ruled out of the Thursday game against Ivory Coast.
Yusuf had earlier expressed optimism to feature in the match, after picking up an injury against Equatorial Guinea on Sunday and was replaced by Joe Aribo in the 68th minute.
“I’m not going to train fully today, but I should be back in full training tomorrow.
“I’m getting better and should be available for the game against Cote d’Ivoire,” Yusuf said earlier on Monday.
However, reports emerging from the Super Eagles’ camp in Abidjan now confirm that the player is doubtful for the tough encounter, tomorrow.
The Super Eagles will face the Elephants at the Alassanne Quattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan, on Thursday by 6:00 pm.
