The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), on Saturday, confirmed the death of two persons and the rescue of two others from a three-storey building that collapsed in the Yaba area of Lagos State.
DAILY POST had reported that the three-storey building under construction, located on Akanbi Crescent, near the main gate of the University of Lagos, UNILAG in Yaba collapsed on Saturday.
Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, NEMA Zonal Coordinator, Southwest, who spoke on the incident said five workers were trapped in the building,
“Two of them have been rescued alive, but two adult males were recovered dead.
“Search and rescue operations are ongoing,” Farinloye told NAN
