Manchester City has received a major injury boost ahead of their Premier League final day clash with Aston Villa at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Pep Guardiola was pleased to see John Stones and Kyle Walker return to full training ahead of City’s crucial title decider against Aston Villa this weekend.
The Citizens top the Premier League table by one point over Liverpool heading into the last matchday of the season.
With the title on the line, Guardiola will want the best team he can put together to win the Premier League for the seventh time.
The probable return of Stones and Walker, who returned to training on Thursday, has bolstered Guardiola’s side.
In his pre-match press conference on Friday, Guardiola will be able to shed light on the defenders’ availability. After Everton’s 3-2 Premier League victory against Crystal Palace on Thursday, Richarlison retaliated against Liverpool veteran Jamie Carragher.
Carragher should cleanse his mouth before speaking anything about him and Everton, according to Richarlison. This season, Carragher has criticized Richarlison of going down too readily in games in quest of a penalty or a foul. It all started in April, with Everton frustrating Liverpool in the first half of the Merseyside Derby. Frank Lampard’s team attempted to disrupt the game’s flow by wasting time, committing fouls, and even diving, resulting in Anthony Gordon getting booked for simulation.
However, two second-half goals ensured the Reds won the game 2-0. Carragher has since spoken a few times about Richarlison’s supposed play-acting.
