Klopp singles out three Liverpool players after 2-1 win at Southampton

After Liverpool’s 2-1 win against Southampton on Tuesday night, Jurgen Klopp compared his peripheral players to “having Ferraris in the garage.”

The Reds now have a chance to win the Premier League title on the last day.

In the 13th minute, Nathan Redmond handed the hosts the lead, before Takumi Minamino and Joel Matip scored to get Klopp’s side within one point of Manchester City.

Despite making nine changes, Liverpool won the game at St Marys.

Klopp was without Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, who were both injured.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson, and Sadio Mane were all rested.

Minamino made his first league start since December 2020, while Harvey Elliott made his sixth of the season.
