Jones names better defender than Man United captain, Maguire

Dean Jones, a respected football pundit, believes that Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli is a better defender than Manchester United captain Harry Maguire.

Jones made the comment when discussing Manchester United’s interest in Koulibaly.

Man United had previously been connected with the Senegal international.

After this season, Koulibaly will enter the final year of his contract with Napoli.

The centre-contract back’s has not been renewed, according to reports.

“Koulibaly is arguably a better defender than Maguire,” Jones told GIVEMESPORT. “But it’s not like he’s without flaws, he makes mistakes, too.”

He added, “He is playing at a higher level right now, but the issue will be if they do go for him, after a little while of people not being interested in him, he now has four or five big European clubs looking at him.”
