Liverpool Captain, Jordan Henderson Wins Best Player In England as The FWA player of the year.
Liverpool Captain, Jordan Henderson held the likes of Manchester city star man Kevin De Bruyne and other high placed players in the premier league to win the Prolific award after leading the team to their first league title in 30 years.
Jordan Henderson played an important role in the clubs performance being the star man from the heart of the Midfield.
He takes the award, following in the footsteps of Liverpool icons Kenny Dalglish and Steven Gerrard, ahead of a number of other contenders, most notably Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne.
“I’d like to say how appreciative I am of the support of those who voted for me and the Football Writers’ Association in general,” said Henderson.
We would also note that at 30, Henderson also spearheaded the #playerstogether initiative during the coronavirus lockdown which saw players team up with NHS Charities Together to raise money for the NHS.
