Beyoncé and Jay-Z New Orleans mansion caught fire
Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s New Orleans home caught fire on Wednesday night (July 21). According to news reports, firefighters responded to a 1-alarm fire at the Spanish baroque mansion in the Garden District after receiving a call around 6 p.m. A little over two hours later, the fire was fully extinguised
Back in 2015, the Beyoncé’ and Jay-Z reportedly purchased the $2.6 million, 13,292-square-foot mansion named La Casa de Castile, which was once home to the Westminster Presbyterian Church and later served as a ballet studio. Built in 1925, the three-story structure features 26-foot high ceilings and three separate apartments.
Thankfully, there were no injuries and the cause of the fire remains unknown. A smoke alarm alerted the fire department about the blaze.
