The semi-final fixtures for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) have been confirmed.
This follows the completion of Egypt’s AFCON quarter-final tie against Morocco on Sunday evening.
Egypt sent Morocco packing after winning 2-1 after 120 minutes. The game ended in a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes.
Mohamed Salah and Trezeguet scored for Egypt, while Sofiane Boufal scored Morocco’s only goal of the match through a penalty in the first half.
Meanwhile, Cameroon had eliminated Gambia on Saturday, while Burkina Faso defeated Tunisia.
Egypt will now take on Cameroon in the AFCON semi-final fixture on Thursday night, while Burkina Faso will face the winner between Senegal and Equatorial Guinea on Wednesday night.
Senegal and Equatorial Guinea will clash in the AFCON quarter-final on Sunday night for a place in the last-4.
The AFCON semi-final will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.
