Angel Di Maria believes Kylian Mbappe made the correct decision by remaining at Paris Saint-Germain, but that the striker still has plenty of time to join Real Madrid.
After signing to a new three-year contract with PSG, Mbappe has turned down a move to the LaLiga giants.
Madrid had hoped to recruit the 23-year-old as a free agent after he pushed to join the club last summer, but his unexpected U-turn has astonished the club.
After the Metz game, Di Maria, who played for Madrid from 2010 to 2014, told reporters, “I think he made the correct decision.”
He is still young and has time to go to Madrid, he has time to go wherever he wants, he has only signed three more years and he will be 26, he has a lot ahead of him.
“He likes to make history and he will continue to make history here, he is close to 200 goals.”
