Oyibo Chukwu, the Labour Party candidate for the Enugu East senatorial seat, was assassinated.
The skilled attorney’s car was reportedly set on fire as he was being shot and killed in Enugu while returning from a campaign outing.
On Wednesday evening, February 22, a video shows his car catching fire with him still inside.
Although it was believed that three people were in the car with him, it was not yet known if any of them survived.
A top member of Labour Party has confirmed the fatal attack but said he should not be quoted until the family speaks, Vanguard reports.
