Iheanacho, Ndidi miss out on UCL

Nigerian Super Eagles players and Leicester City Stars Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho miss out on next seasons UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE (UCL).

The both players alongside their team mates failed to defeat Manchester united on Sunday at the King power stadium leaving the team to a 2-0 loss at home, thereby shutting off dream at the UCL.

 

The game was Ndidi’s 32nd of the season while for Iheanacho it was his 20th league appearance of the season for the Foxes.

 

Brendan Rodgers’ side needed a win to secure UCL qualification while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side needed a point from this decisive final-day meeting to confirm a place in the top four but United broke the hearts of the Foxes, who were in for a Champions League spot for so much of the season.

Both sides had their chances, with Leicester City keeper Kasper Schmeichel saving well from Marcus Rashford in the first half and Jamie Vardy seeing a header glance off the frame of the goal after the break.
