The Lagos State Health Commissioner, Prof. Abayomi Tests Positive For Coronavirus and has been put on isolation.
The Lagos Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, disclosed this in a press statement released on Monday.
He announced that the commissioner tested positive after being in contact with persons who tested positive for the virus.
”Honorable Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi became aware of his status following the required testing protocol of contact tracing procedures, he said”.
He futher urged everyone to pray for the commissioner’s recovery as he is on isolation for two weeks
The commissioner is doing well with no symptoms. Adhering to the protocol of the home-based strategy in Lagos State, but will be isolating in his home for the next 14 days and will continue to discharge his duties both as the Deputy Incident Commander of the Incident Command System for COVID-19 and most especially, as the Honorable Commissioner for Health,”
