How to give your best guys the Christmas they deserve.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year once again. Love, warmth and affection are the hallmarks of this season and there’s probably no better time to embrace the love of family and friends, and all of the pleasantness of Christmas.
A season of giving, receiving and sharing will be incomplete without extending a heartfelt gift to the men in your life that matter most: those who have made your year remarkable – sharing in your triumphs and holding you together at your lowest moments.
In case you’re wondering what to gift the men you admire and cherish, we have curated below, a list of the best things you can give them this season.
1. Purchase a Playstation 5
Ever since Sony launched the latest of its game consoles, it has been the go-to gift for many women around the world, Nigerians included. And it is not hard to see why it is such a heartwarming gift, particularly to younger men within the 12-35 age bracket. The PS5 is a fun machine that many have grown up playing and not only are beautiful memories attached to them, they are great for de-stressing when work or school becomes a little too much.
Granted, it’s a little on the high side at about #250k, but the joy and glee you’d bring them with this gift is priceless. So if you can afford the latest PlayStation console, you should go on and get it for that man this Christmas.
2. Bring him a Beanie
After complaining that harmattan refused to show up for us, it has now come with some force that makes it very important to layer up and wear clothing items that ward off the cold.
But hey, no one wants to be caught unfresh even when they are trying to stay warm; which is why a beanie is one of the perfect gift items to consider for that man you love. A stylish beanie keeps them warm and preserves their swagger. Take it from us: they’ll totally, totally love it!
3. Socks to make him smile
Still on the theme of keeping warm without losing their sophisticated edge: you may want to get that man you care about a pair of socks to help him get through the chill of this season.
But even more than that, a pair of socks can be part of their clothing ensemble for long. Whether dressed casually, formally or somewhere in between, they can rock that pair for as long as possible.
Oh, and don’t forget that men are no longer just about drab blacks and greys. They want a pop of bright, resplendent colours as well! So don’t hesitate to throw in a couple of men’s pink socks while shopping for a Christmas gift for your favourite men this season!
4. Choose shoes
Another way to thrill a man is to get him a pair of easy-on-the eye, comfortable shoes or footwear. Crocs are the hot things these days, so start from there if you are thinking of what to get that man.
Neat, suave loafers will also be appreciated as they go nicely with agbadas, kaftans and corporate outfits altogether. Mules and half shoes are quite popular with Nigerian men. So you may want to explore that, too.
5. Deliver dollars to him
If he is one of those men who seem to have it all, or if you just can’t make up your mind on what to get, then this should be your last recourse – and it is a hugely efficient one!
Just package dollars in a marked envelope and slip it into his pocket. Or you can hide it plain sight, somewhere where he is sure to stumble upon it. Just watch his delightful reaction, and you will be thanking us because it’ll be all worth it.
Now go out there and give those kings the Christmas they deserve.
