A woman has been arrested for abandoning her one-day-old baby along a bush path near Crush Rock, behind the uncompleted Red Bricks Market in Mpape, Abuja, according to Vanguard.
Her identity has been withheld for legal reasons.
During interrogation, the woman admitted to leaving the newborn in the bush, explaining that her husband had deserted her, leaving her unable to care for the child.
