Daughter of South African rapper AKA sobbed openly during her father’s burial service.
On evening, February 17, at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, Mzansi’s artists, actors, politicians, and other dignitaries attended the memorial service for the deceased rapper AKA, actual name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes.
One of the most heartbreaking scenes was when Kairo Owethu Forbes, the rapper’s 7-year-old daughter, started crying. One of her close relatives and her mother, DJ Zinhle, promptly comforted her.
AKA was shot and killed last Friday in Durban, South Africa. He was 35. The rapper’s former manager, Tebello, also known as ‘Tibz’ Motsoane, was also gunned down on the same day and both he and AKA will be laid to rest on the 18th of February, 2023.
