Ogun Police Arrests Singer Portable After 72-Hour Ultimatum Elapsed

Portable, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, was apprehended by the Ogun State Police Command on Friday, March 31, following his failure to comply with their request to appear for questioning. The Zazoo singer had been given a 72-hour ultimatum, which expired on the day of his arrest. He was apprehended in connection with a video that had gone viral on Tuesday, March 28, in which he was seen verbally abusing and resisting the police.

According to Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Portable was taken into custody after he failed to respond to five invitations to report to the nearest police station. Currently, he is being held at the state police headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.

It has been reported that Portable will be detained in police custody until Monday, April 3, when he will be arraigned in court.
